Oh I'm not shitting on the show, from time to time I've flipped over and watched a few minutes. All is pretty cool till Coral's mom shows, then I mentally check out so hard it's not even funny.

4/20 Massacre directed by a dude from the Derp days. I see what he was going for as it was mostly a call back to the 80's slashers but there was too much Kevin Smith-esque dialogue and not enough kills. The kills that are there are great, but too much down time between. The kill with the bong was fucking brutal and the disemboweling scene was great.

SPEED RACER- Whoa, this movie is bonkers. That finale is maybe the craziest, most fun thing the Wachowski's have ever done. I should've listened to Rob a long time ago on this one.

S.O.B. (1981), Blake Edwards.

If you're not familiar with it, it's the one where Julie Andrews shows her boobs. It's a meta commentary on Hollywood and, specifically, the careers of Julie Andrews and Blake Edwards. I remembered it being very funny but honestly, it's even funnier than I remember it being. The trio of Robert Preston, William Holden, and Robert Webber are hysterically funny in this (especially Preston), and Julie Andrews really leans into her role of the squeaky clean actress who needs to save a flop film by going raunchy.

Unfortunately, Richard Mulligan is terrible in this. He's incredibly miscast as the male lead and goes way too broadly with his performance. He's in an entirely different film from everyone else. Loretta Swit is also really bad in this, as she's dialed up to 11 with her shrill voice.

But overall, this is pretty strong. It's a pretty underrated film in the Blake Edwards canon and features some particularly dark and funny dialog in it.

Watched two stinkers just to get them out of the way:

TOMB RAIDER: THE CRADLE OF LIFE. Really bad. Maybe it's better than the first one but really, that's a low bar to beat. The wingsuit dive in Hong Kong was really cool, though.

THE MUMMY: THE ONE WITH JET LI AND WITHOUT RACHEL WEISZ: Really bad. Sommers may not be a 'great' director but I'll be damned if he doesn't at least have more talent and tonal control than Rob Cohen. I kinda dug the yetis, though.

Infinity war. 6.5/10. Liked the first half a lot. Everything with Thor was great.

Decided to check out the OG Iron Man. It's so goddamn quaint now. It also has a grittiness that future Marvel movies don't. It's amazing to think that if people didn't accept RDJ that we may not have IW now.

Oh, Martin? I finally say 8 DIAGRAM POLE FIGHTER. That was pretty great. Not my favorite but definitely a good one. The final fight with Gordon Liu is awesome.
