Watched First Blood last night. Still such a great flick. I always want to eat a big fucking steak when I watch it.

FIRST BLOOD is great. Really superior early 80s action film.Originally posted by MartinWho the fuck is Kellan Lutz?Originally posted by gravediggerBasically what I'm saying is that, based on what I've watched so far, we should all listen to Matt more often.Originally posted by MartinAnd who the FUCK is Peaches Geldof?

So glad he changed the ending as well. Works much better with out committing suicide.
It's just too bad the second movie erases the "humanity" of Rambo and instead makes him an American Superhero."Looking like Nic Cage dressed in Kurt Cobain's closet. I mean that as a compliment" - BillyG

I remember First Blood being a huge sticking point for my parents when I was like six. I had all the Rambo toys and Big Wheels and everything...but I wasn't allowed to see it because it was R. Then my dad went and rented it and we watched it and my mom was pissed. I honestly don't think I've seen it since then.

I've got to agree with Rerb.
Ted Kotcheff was a helluva director who nailed moments that were lost when Stallone got more control over the franchise.
Plus, if you have time...check out the Aussie/Canadian shit he did before becoming an American action director.

Night of the Hunted by Jean Rollin.
Signed up for the MUBI service a while ago and this popped up during the week.
Highly surreal film about a girl that's escaped a tower of ill repute and goes on the lam. Unfortunately, her memory has deteriorated to the state of an Alzheimer's sufferer. The whole thing is populated by a bunch of 70's era French porn actresses who are actually pretty good at the whole "fragile and damaged" thing. Who would have guessed?
Anyway, the whole impetus of the thing is in finding out what happened to the girl to make her this way and what the deal is with the tower.
Some hilarious shit in here as well to enjoy in the "midnight movie" line of thinking.Me quick one want slow
