What Emmanuelle Movie Did You Just Watch?

Wow...that's a good one. The last half of Goodfellas really lost steam. Goodfellas is one of my favorite movies, mostly because I would fellate Scorcese. Goodfellas like Am Gangster could have better if they were shortened. Both are around 2.5 hours +/-, it is hard to sit through anything that long. I would say that there was a lot of fluff that could have been cut from both. Goodfellas, the whole drug thing could have played out quicker, the paranoia and all the other bullshit. Am Gangster, there were two great stories they were trying to tell. Denzel's story and Russell's story, two much shit to pack in one movie IMO without giving each it's due justice. The violence in the movie was awesome, the acting on point, but there was shit that could have been cut...I haven't seen it in a while so it's hard to give specifics, but the whole conflict with Crowe's wife/kid was lame...There's a bunch, I guess it just kinda fell short for me. And I won't tout Goodfellas too much, because I have seen better.

True that. Both were a tad long, but AG seemed to flow alot better for me. At least in American Gangster I could side with someone. Crowe. In most gangster movies all of the characters are so unlikeable.

Goodfellas works 100% for me. Casino goes on for too long though. Carlito's Way is great. So is Donnie Brasco.

See, I'm all about the "rise" in those types of movies. Especially Goodfellas in the beginning. But once they are "made" then it turns into every other fucking gangster movie ever....bad shit happens, people die, who gives a shit?

The Godfather is not really a Gangster flick. It's more of a portrait of an American family that dabbles in crime. It shows how Italians came here to make money and were shunned by society but eventually rose to prominence through criminal operations. Fuck the Godfather Trilogy.

Heat is my favorite movie ever...if we were talking animated flicks it would still be number 1...Untouchables was a hard decision, because it was kinda cheesy. It wanted to be real serious but comes off comical, I guess what I'm really saying is that it doesn't really hold up.

Heat is the shit and I can't wait to watch it with Lesley as she's never seen it. Heat trumps all. ANd I haven't seen the Untouchables in a few years, but I don't remember it being cheesy. Maybe I'll have to netflix that again.

Not cheesy, just doesn't hold up as well as some of the others on that list. DeNiro is ridiculous as Al Capone.
