That's what sold me on the LCD...I could've got a 50" plazma for the same price. The guy said that although the tecmology has advanced, it still runs a high risk of burn in.

Especially if you play video games or even watch something like MSNBC or CNN. Anything with a logo on the screen will burn in after like 20 minutes. It slowly goes away, but it's fucking noticable and annoying as hell.

I'm happy with my rear projection tv right now, although an upgrade to 1080p is in the future. It's just a far, far future.

need any more reasons to get a ps3? well according to www.gizmodo.com, the ps3's blu-ray 2.0 update coming late this month will make it the best player available.

"As expected, the PS3 will become fully Blu-ray 2.0, or BD-Live, compatible with its next major software update, slated for 'late March.' The functionality will give upcoming movies the ability to go online for downloads?games, ringtones and bonus audio and video. No other Blu-ray player on the market has this capability, and only a few due out this year will, so PS3 is still your best bet, Blu-ray-wise."

how badly do you need to watch your movies in high def? and how badly will you want gt5, mgs, and/or little big planet? AND be able to support folding@home on a medium that works so well for it? AND have access to some really good psn titles? AND play uncharted, ratchet and clank, resistance, and/or resistance 2 (when it comes out that is... and by golly, is it going to be a BEAST!)? and have the ability to use bluetooth headset, mouse, and/or keyboard?

and if you did get it, you could be cool like me and call your set up "pswii60."

The system isn't bad Ari. In a year or so it'll be pretty damn good. Plus, you will never have to worry about it failing on you due to faulty hardware. But I mostly use it as a blu-ray player for now. Well that and Eye of Judgment.

Here's the problem I have: I buy a PS3, but, since my tv is only 1080i, I'm going to want a new tv too. Then I'll need a new reciever. Then I'll need to start buying Blu-ray discs. And finally, when a good PS3 game comes out, I'll have to buy that too. I'm too broke for all that!
