You're not just looking for weepy uncomfortable scenes are you Matt? Because I can tell you that every single race in the Fast and Furious series gets me charged up and makes me miss my high school/college street racing days. It has nothing to do with writing or acting, it's purely based on my nostalgia for having a muscle car (I should have bought a Challenger and kept my Gran Torino!) and the fact that F&F actually does a good job of making car porn.

apologies, but I don't recognize the film that that picture comes from.
And Ben: that's an excellent example from 'Bridges'. I didn't care for the movie, but I can totally see where you're coming from with that particular sequence.Originally posted by MartinWho the fuck is Kellan Lutz?Originally posted by gravediggerBasically what I'm saying is that, based on what I've watched so far, we should all listen to Matt more often.Originally posted by MartinAnd who the FUCK is Peaches Geldof?

What I'm really going for here is HOW to write this kind of emotion into the script. Should you rely on the director taking the words and 'getting' what you're going for?Originally posted by MartinWho the fuck is Kellan Lutz?Originally posted by gravediggerBasically what I'm saying is that, based on what I've watched so far, we should all listen to Matt more often.Originally posted by MartinAnd who the FUCK is Peaches Geldof?

Going back to the original question, a movie is a collaborative effort. I don't think it's something that you can necessarily just bang out. You write what you think is right, but you have to be aware things can change.
Hell, look at the death of Spock in Khan II and how that was handled."Everything is amazing right now and no one is happy" - Louis C.K.
