Park Chan-Wook's priest turns into a vampire flick. One of my favorite movies of 2009. Pair it with Let The Right One In, and watch them with your girl. Well, at least if she's not a Twilight idiot. The ending of Thirst is equal parts hilarious, touching, and horrifying. One of the best third acts in a long while. My only slight complaint was the film felt like it ended three times, but then it moved into a whole new direction each time. It didn't hurt the movie, it just seemed to have a slightly odd structure. Great, great movie though.

Nice, I've had this on my radar for a while, will definitely have to check that out. Also need to still watch Let The Right One In. Yes, I know I fail."Looking like Nic Cage dressed in Kurt Cobain's closet. I mean that as a compliment" - BillyG

It's pretty good, but I wouldn't put it too close to LTROI, mostly just because it kinda overstays its welcome and they seem to be hitting the concept of vampirism from two different angles - while sexuality is involved in both, LTROI approaches it from a more tentative "coming of age/puberty" sense while Thirst dives right into more arguably mature sexual politics with the idea of "predator v. prey" and the implications of and reversal of those roles.
