I just saw Iron Man - awesome.
the special effects were awesome.
The acting was awesome - RDJ was fucking awesome in the roll.
The humor was pretty fucking good too.
However, I thought the story sorta blew. It was better than a lot of comic/action movies, so I only say this because the movie had everything else going for it. I thought the story up until the start of "The Dude" starting to be an ass was fucking rad. End the movie there. However, I thought the rest of it was sort of a half ass story. I think the movie would have been cooler if Iron Man just spent the rest of the movie blowing up terrorists or something.
Just my 2 cents. One of my favorite comic movie moments is the opening sequence in Xmen 2 where Nightcrawler attackes the president. Some of the scenes in Iron Man rival that shit. Bad ass.

The only real problem I had with the last 3rd was it seemed like the Iron Monger suit was built way too quickly and Stane's ability to fly it perfectly was kinda suspect. Still, these are small nitpicks in an otherwise fantastic film.Blog Time! http://plasticlovin.blogspot.com/

I will admit that I knew little about Iron Man, but I did sorta know that the token black guy in the comic was WarMachine. While watching the movie, I was like "token black guy in comic.... token black guy in movie.... that must be war machine"... I dunno if I would go as far as to say that the movie was racist for that reason. But shit, do you ever watch movies from the 70s/80s? You rarely have the token minority thing... (thinking DC Cab, the Warriors, etc). I dunno, maybe shit is getting more segregated (BET *cough*).

Loved this flick, until the lame battle at the end, otherwise fucking fantastic. RDJ nailed this one outta the park, Terrance was great and can't wait for War Machine to show up in the sequel. Faverau also did the impossible and made me think Paltrow was hot. Also loved the fact he outed himself at the end. That should be cool theme for the next one.
