'The Blues Brothers' is overrated, in my opinion. The music is great and it's genuinely funny in spots, but it could easily stand a 15-20 minute edit.

It depends upon your mood more than anything. Parts of it are HOWLINGLY funny, but if you're not into the R&B music you're going to find it really tedious in spots.

Only if you're a fool. It's one of the best written comedies of the last 30 years.

The first one really takes its time but it's so great, from the comedy to the music, that I think it's worth it. The second one has some good music but is otherwise a tragedy. Ugh.
