Also: anything by Laird Barron is kind of Lovecraftian in its vibe. Closer, perhaps, to Arthur Machen, but in the same vein.

Eh, it's not worth the vitrol that "nerds" hit Ernest with. If anything it was a light and breezy read that never tries to pretend to be anything it's not. Yeah, it's nostalgia porn through and through but I did dig the setting and the whole idea of the easter egg hunt. It peters the fuck out near the end and is super anticlimatic in my opinion but I'm excited to see what Spielberg does with it.
I hope to be entertained and wowed by the VR shit and it should be fun picking out all of the cameos and shit.
I think Ben Mendelsohn is gonna be great as Serrento and am curious as to how Aech and Art3mis are in this."Looking like Nic Cage dressed in Kurt Cobain's closet. I mean that as a compliment" - BillyG

I just read two(!) books in the last two weeks: The Nightingale and Behind Closed Doors. Both we quite good, although I think I liked Nightingale better. I’ll go into more in the morning when I’m not falling asleep.Mortal Sin is a registered trademark of the One Holy Catholic & Apostolic Church. Hallelujah. ~Iggy

Continuing my summer of reading celeb tell-alls. I just got a preview PDF of Small Fry (Lisa Jobs ratting on her shitty dad Steve Jobs). Vanity Fair has a preview chapter up on their site, but it's pretty light compared to other stories.

It's creepy how passive aggressively evil the book becomes by the midway point.
