It's BURNING in my pants

Hey guys, I'm trying to burn a mp3 CD, but I'm having problems as some of the tracks are just being skipped over in my cars, but I can aleviate that by just pressing forward. The system will play the song after a few seconds. All the other albums plays fine, but it's not the first time this happens.

Is it the burn speed (8x), the brand of CDs (Memorex I think) or the software?

Anyone can recommend a good free CD burning software? I use BurnAware, and fuck Nero as it's scraps whole Cds.

Well, I haven't burnt a CD in like 5 or 6 years, but I can say buying cheap media will result in skips within just a handful of plays, especially if the CD player isn't top flight as well. A cheap CD player will chew up shitty media with a quickness. As for burning CDs, I used iTunes.
