  • Harlan Ellison Dying?

Found this article re: Harlan's last convention appearance EVER this weekend. He says he's dying. The first link has a great interview, one of the best I've read from him in a long time.

Love him or hate him (and there's plenty of reasons for either or), Ellison is a hell of a writer, and walks it like he talks it. I always liked the man's work, and it sucks that after his intro to The Discarded, I'll have no more of his stories to look forward to. Still, for what it's worth, the man entertained me for decades and often made me think in directions I wasn't used to.

    My thanks, Harlan!

I'll miss his subtle blend of vitriol, rage, and paranoia.

      Precisely.

I'm sure when he does die, death will be hit with a lawsuit.
