Specifically that OZ did it better. Two wildly different shows, different themes, different things being addressed...and OZ turned into a fucking WEIRD show in the last couple seasons.

Though, a little Adebisi goes a long way.

Exactly. You might be able to make a case for Homicide (PEMBLETON4LYFE) but not Oz. As strong as the first season or two was, it fell off the rails by the end.

I'd rewatch the full series of OZ before I'd rewatch the full series of The Wire. I love both, but I really only love seasons 1 and 3 of The Wire while I love all seasons of Oz. Especially the weird X-Files shit they started pulling.

Last night's Agent Carter was pretty great. Loved seeing Dum Dum again and they finally let Peggy be a badass. Curious as to what is going on with the psycho Russian lady.

Almost done with season 4 of The Shield. Glenn Close is awesome. The showdown in the Councilman's office was badass.

Here's the thing: I hate The Sopranos, but I know it's well made. Just didn't connect with it. Same goes for me and rap music. Not really a fan, but not all of it is garbage: there's some good stuff in it.

What I love about all of this is how it's pretty close to the comics. You can tweak what already exists and create a new filmed narrative out of it.

As much as it pains me to say it about DC, they are doing their TV shows right.
