  • I might need a new router.

    My Internet connection has sucked for a while and although I'm inclined to mostly blame Charter it might be because I am using a router that's over 10 years old. What's good in the wireless router market these days? I'll be connecting laptops, iDevices, and game systems.

    I'm a big fan of Mediabridge. The problem is that most routers tend to come in two varieties: Ass and Pretty Good. It's weird for a peripheral not to have that many shades of gray.

      According to Wirecutter it was the ASUS RT-N56U or something along those lines, and it's the one I got. It's been really solid.

        Billy, do you have the SSID hidden on your setup? And does it still show on some devices? All my Apple stuff is automatically finding the network but for everything else I need to type in the network name, like I prefer. Weird.
