It was perfect for the subject, but sometimes I wish it had tried a bit more to be its own work, especially when it came to the "Can of Coke" scene.
In the book, it worked perfectly as a concise description of a father trying to provide even a sliver of comfort for his son at the end of all things.
On film it fell completely flat and could have been excised or adapted into something more fitting for the medium.Me quick one want slowComment
