  • DROID thread!

ITT Jake and other DROID users should convince me that Droid sucks and I really don't need one because I'm thisclose to buying the Incredible and I can think of no legitimate reason to buy one and get locked into Verizon's ridiculous data plan scheme other than "it's neat and think it might be useful once in a while".

Remember that DROID has become a line instead of a single phone. The original DROID remains the best of the bunch, though the Incredible gets great reviews. The HD2 I believe it is, has been getting mediocre reviews so avoid it.

Naw dude it sucks you shouldn't get an Android phone

(I love mine, but I'd trade it for the Incredible, probably. Mostly because mine's a little beat-up looking atm)

The Hero is awesome. I pay $120 a month for unlimited texting, calls and data.

I cannot wait to get the HTC Incredible phone.

In fact they just dropped the price on the Motorola Droid to $120 at Best Buy.

Once I have 200 disposable bucks to burn, I'll be upgrading to the HTC 4G EVO. Can't. Wait.

I don't have AS sweet of a deal as Howard (Unlimited calls? You lucky ass.), but I spend around $80 per month for unlimited data/texts and a voice plan which I rarely use just because I have everything else at my fingertips. Also, the navigation software is indispensable.

AT&T is capping 3G data. 2GB can move really fast when you use a lot of the maps and download apps. Android keeps looking better.

And yet Apple continues to stick with these guys, why?

Do you think Apple didn't know/have a hand in that decision?

See, this is what I really don't like about it. One hundred twenty dollars a month for a cell phone is fuck you. I'd feel a little better about Jake's $80 plan since I don't like to talk and I'd much rather have the device for its other functions.

It's $80 because I get a little discount as a state employee, so I dunno what you'd get. My bill was about $96-98 beforehand.

Yeah, I can get the discount too. I went by the Verizon store today and it looks like it would be about $85 a month and that covers a sexyphone for me and a regular phone for the wife. A much better deal than I was expecting.
