      Tobey Maguire was championing a live-action 'Robotech' film for a while, but I haven't really heard anything about it for over a year. Fuck all of this 'Thundercats' nonsense...let's get THIS rolling.

            Aidan Quinn wouldn't have made a bad Cassidy for Verhoeven's 1994 Preacher (if that link works, it should take you to a pic of him with his arms folded which, I think, shows how much he'd have suited the trademark shades and spiky hair around that time.)

            As for now? My gut instinct is to give it to an unknown local boy who's got the chops. Although I could totally see Paddy Considine or Michael Fassbender working.

              'Robotech' was always my favorite, but 'Starblazers' was a close second. If done right, it would be an awesome live-action film.

                  Fassbender I can see as Jesse with Sam Rockwell as Cassidy. Javier Bardem as Saint of Killers while we're at it.
