Chronicle was so much better than I thought it was going to be.

I hated it, then I loved, then I hated it again and I'm back to loving it.

Carter wouldn't be on a top 5 for me, but it sure left a fun impression. Flawed, but ambitious.

                  So far:

                  1- The Avengers
                  2- Cabin in the Wood
                  3- The Raid
                  4- Chronicle
                  5-

I haven't seen shit this year because the Alamo is a 30 minute drive away, and the close by theater is awful.

Moonrise Kingdom is probably my favorite so far.

The Grey is pretty good as well, but for the opposite emotional and intellectual response.

Prometheus was a bumbling barrel of blunders.

I haven't seen Cabin in the Woods yet, but one day I will and it will probably be on this list of opinionated scribbles.

Is that in order? Cause there is no way Prometheus is better than the Avengers.

I can't go into how far Prometheus is from a top of anything list, but I have to say, The Hunger Games is really not a good film either. I can only think that people who read the books are giving it a pass, because it was completely devoid of dramatic tension for me and a lot of the cast were pretty bad too.

My tops of the year so far (and bear in mind we have different release dates for a lot of stuff over here)

                          The Avengers
                          Cabin in the Woods
                          Moonrise Kingdom
                          Young Adult
                          The Muppets
I experienced an invasion of my mind by a transcendentally rational mind, as if I had been insane all my life and suddenly I had become sane.

                              Me neither. What's Anderson thinking?
