It's Labor Day weekend and Ed and Randall celebrate the only way they know how. By recording a new episode of The Ed Hocken Show. Ed continues to work Scott Pilgrim through his system as he plays the Scott Pilgrim video game and attends a chip-tune concert. Ed also talks about how Machete and Hobo with a Shotgun should have been the two movies that made up Grindhouse. The two also recount their story of how they met the creator of Scott Pilgrim himself, Bryan Lee O'Malley. Plus, Ed briefly tells the story of how he saw Paul Sorvino before addressing one of the greatest challenges this country has ever faced: The national V-neck crisis.

This episode is one of THOSE episodes. Rob can't deal with Ceej dealing with it, Ceej wants to win America's heart with the power of dance, they discuss the epicness that is "8-Ball" and then they reminisce about "Witchboard". The subject of a BDR game comes up and it turns out that Rob and Ceej can't quite decide on what genre would be the best fit for their unique sensibilities. Deal with it.

Also, this episode is better when under the influence of something besides reality.

From discussing global events to Ed's disastrous attempt at enjoying the anime convention, Ed and Randall take on the tough issues. The two debate whether Loveline is better than Savage Love and why T2 is better than T3, all the while making damn sure just who Bill Paxton is. But after putting aside their differences, Ed regales of his fantastic time seeing MGMT and how he enjoys live music but not the people around him. Plus, thoughts on comic-con, 3D, sci-fi movies, Andrew Garfield as Spider-man, Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk, and smelling like Bruce Willis.
They discuss Mike Judge bringing back "Beavis and Butthead" and just how awesome Liquid Television was. They then bond over Roseanne and bitch about the lack of lower middle class sitcoms. Rob takes a trip back to the Shire with Lesley and has it out with Ceej over the lack of an invitation to play a real pen and paper game. Then, VOICEMAIL!
