  • This Day in Movie History...

Since my Sideshow Collectibles calendar has release dates for movies of the past, I figured I'd start this thread. So today we have...

The first official Bond film ever! Dr. No was released on this day in 1963. Yaay!

Re: This Day in Movie History...

This day, in 1980, one of the longest running film franchises in movie history began. Looking back, the title has very little to do with the actual movie (especially later in the series), and the main charcter the film is best known for barely even appeared in this movie. The film would spawn 10 sequels, ranging in locations from Manhattan (Canada) to space. The final film in the series would match our main character with another film icon in an epic battle of epicness. And, at this very moment, a remake is in the works.

That's right, kiddies. This day in 1980, Friday the 13th opened!
