Pumpkinhead (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PXlcm1el1D0)
One of the better horror flicks in the late eighties thanks to two things: Lance Henriksen and Stan Winston's kickass creature designs. Stay far away from the fucking sequel though. Rancid.

I love Pumpkinhead. You chose wisely.

Been a few years since I watched it, but damn does it hold up. Love, love, love the creature design, the storyline, and Lance Henriksen in a solid performance.
I barely remember the sequel - might check it out for shits and giggles.

The sequel is pure garbage. Pumpkinhead looks like crap and the story is retarded. Goddamn greasers.

GAWD YES. The original is so boss though.
It was much better than it should have been.

If any movie should have a remake it's this one.

Most movies with a Misfits song dedicated to them are pretty solid, but I've actually never seen Pumpkinhead. I intend to rectify this at my nearest convenience. Had it not been from the Graves/Famous Monsters era, well, I might not have been so hasty.

A Nightmare on Elm Street 3 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8PlwfVhY_-Q)
This one strikes the perfect balance between horror and his quips. He's not quite a comic book villain yet. It also has the best kill in the entire series with the marionette kill.
Best breasts in the series, too. That nurse....damn.

Well, the flick DID give us this (http://youtu.be/-mtGU00po08). Agreed, easily one of my favorite flicks in the franchise, but heralded the start of the drop in quality with later sequels.
Also: DOKKEN. It's an awesome song.

This statement also applies to Halloween 2.
Too bad they're in Halloween 2, but the point remains.

At least they're not in that Halloween II.

Demon Knight (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6OssUeer57A)
Billy Zane and Willy Sadler are great in this.
Also, UNCLE WILLY!
Loved DEMON KNIGHT. Favorite moments:
- Zane pinching a fist through that person's head.
- CCH Pounder flipping the bird with her stump.
Fun, fun movie. Too bad BORDELLO OF BLOOD was so bad.

Boredello was sooooooo awful. IT's a shame because Demon Knight is a great original horror flick. Also love Thomas Hayden Church in this. "So what?! I have hemorrhoids"

Agreed on Bordello - it had Everhart and Eleniak, but wasn't as sexy as it should have been.
Demon Knight I still haven't seen - must rectify as soon as I can.
It's the a hoot, Tim. Well worth the time and effort.

Punisher: War Zone (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=liABMxEvPAc)
One of the better action flicks in the last few years. Brutal as fuck and awesome as shit.
Buy it here for only 7 bucks on blu! (http://www.amazon.com/Punisher-Zone-Two-Disc-Special-Blu-ray/dp/B001QB9H2E/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1321539541&sr=8-1)

I've been trying to get Lesley to give it a chance. haha.
No go so far.

Dominic West's spectacular accent alone deserves a place on this list.

His accent was FANTASTICULAR.

It's like his voice and face have minds of their own when he meets that mob boss at the start. Amazing.

Jigsaw was great. Billy went into that glass crusher giving Castle the 'Fuck You' salute and came out a better man.
I'd also jump at the chance to see Pullo beat the hell out of Barracuda.

Battle Royale (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-T7yPJVvXw)
Hunger Games who?

YESSSSSSSsSSSsssssssssSSssssss
Going to make Brittany sit down and watch that soon. She's all in butt love with Hunger Games, and I have yet to hear anything compelling or interesting about it.

I had Lesley watch it a few years ago and she loved it. Nothing about Hunger Games is doing anything for me.

Battle Royale (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-T7yPJVvXw)
Hunger Games who?
EXACTLY. That was the first thing that popped in my head when all this Hunger Games stuff started up - it's just a retread of what Battle Royale did.
Also, would love to see a Long Walk flick.
THE LONG WALK is kinda my dream film. I love that book. At the same rime, I question how a film of that would play out...it would be a very punishing experience.
Timothy225

Yeah, Hollywood would definitely mess with the story to make it a bit more palatable to the average moviegoer. More's the pity.

Re: Battle Royale, been awhile since I watched that flick (have a bootleg on VHS), and have yet to see the sequel. Damn good flick regardless, and the violence is just short of over the top. Good also to see a pre-Kill Bill Chiaki Kuriyama (aka Gogo Yubari in KB), too.

Don't bother with the Battle sequel. It's ass.

The movie that made me scared of our old glass shower.
