  • RESCUE ME

I've had the main squeeze watching the series from the start to Season 5 Vol. 2

We're almost at the end of Season 2 and I'm glad that I finally got her to like a good show again. It's been too long since she's watched a decent show. She loves the Office, but I also have to put up with a lot of Teen Mom and Top Chef as well.

Needless to say, she turns to me last night and says.

Denis Leary reminds a lot of you.

    How so?

The pettiness. It's like someone put a camera on you, as you went around to fuck with people you know. That and your family's retarded.

Wow. The other-Kael sounds awesome. A given, of course.

Awesome. I've fallen way behind on this show.
Touch it. Touch my fuzziness! It's like petting a kitten!
Now drop the pants and take the bacon!

        She has my mean streak.

When we have an argument, other people get worried. My college roommate described it as a guerilla theater performance of "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf" but with more f-bombs.

Rescue Me is one of my favorite shows ever. The season before last wasn't the best, but the finale was great. That damn baseball game was heart wrenching. And last season was much better. You just can't beat the interaction between the boys in the firehouse. As a character Sheila has grown tired and worthless. She's the only real complaint I have about it.

Tried watching this when it first aired. Never stuck with it. I'm assuming I should try again?

Yea, losing Chief hurt. It really pissed me off when I read about the behind the scenes bickering, but the new dual chief set up works and gives the guys plenty of things to do.

Rescue Me is actually my least favorite of the FX shows. Yes, even Nip/Tuck is better. Still, Rescue Me is better than anything on network TV. My favorite FX show of all time? The Shield. Hands down.

Wrong answer. The correct answer is Sunny.

The last 2 seasons of Sunny have been less than stellar (decent but lacking that extra omph). If I compared the first three seasons of Sunny with all of The Shield, then I would agree with you.
