You know 'em, you love 'em. When the movie ends, THESE are the characters that stick in your brain and fester. Years later, you can still quote 'em verbatim.

#1: Bill Paxton as Hudson, 'Aliens'.

Watching Mr. badass marine go from being a cocky smartmouth to a panicked, whimpering sack of fear is/was awesome.

Every. Single. One. of his lines in the film is quotable. I even made a desktop theme of nothing but Hudson lines at one point...it was pretty damned funny.

'Smoking or non-smoking?'
'Why don't you put HER in charge?'
'Game over, man...game over'.
'That's just great...that's just fucking GREAT, man...NOW what are we supposed to do???'
'I say we grease this ratfuck son of a bitch right now.'

Right actor, wrong movie. He doesn't make enough of an impression in 'The Terminator' to really warrant a place in this list. I could definitely see one or two more Paxton characters earning a spot, though.

Absolutely. Kilmer was robbed of an Oscar nomination for this. His lines were great anyways, but he delivered them with a certain panache that just made them zing.
