So, I decided to watch Blues Brothers 2000 for the first time in a decade last night.

The Blues Brothers is the perfect example why you do not do a sequel 15-20 years down the line.

I only saw BB2K once. It's an unwatchable blight that's redeemed somewhat by the jam at the end, but that's really about it. It was a bad idea that was poorly executed.

Because it's one guy and Stallone was really interested and you could have the character keep on living. Besides, that movie was created to wash out the bad taste of the prior movie. Just like Rocky Balboa.

The only other example I can think of is The Color of Money.

Well, the Wizard of Oz books were a series. And while it was the same characters, it was different actors and story. It's different when someone is rehashing the same character or just phoning it in (Indy 4).
